Contra-alto clarinet - The contra-alto clarinet is a large, low-sounding musical instrument of the clarinet family. The contra-alto clarinet is pitched in the key of E-flat and is sometimes called the E-flat contrabass clarinet.
Bass clarinet - The bass clarinet is a musical instrument of the clarinet family. Like standard clarinets, it is usually pitched in B flat (meaning it is a transposing instrument where a written C sounds as B flat), but it plays notes an octave below the "normal" B flat clarinet and an octave above the contrabass clarinet.
Contrabass clarinet - The contrabass clarinet is the largest common member of the clarinet family. It is a Bb; instrument, although the Eb; contra-alto clarinet is sometimes referred to as the Eb; contrabass clarinet.
E-flat clarinet - The Eâ™ sopranino clarinet is a member of the clarinet family. It is usually found in concert bands, marching bands, wind ensembles, clarinet choirs and sometimes in orchestral music.
